On Nov. 24, a 4.0-magnitude quake struck Turkey, 21 km southwest of Ele\u015fkirt (formerly Alashkert). In a one-hour period in the same epicenter zone, there were 2 tremors having magnitudes of 3\u20134 and 3.0. On the same day, an earthquake with its epicenter measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale struck 16 km southeast of the Turkish city of I\u011fd\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>On Nov. 24 and 25, two seismic activities of 3\u20134 magnitude were registered in the territory of Azerbaijan \u2014 the first, 23 km east of the city of Nakhchivan; the second, 9 km southwest of the city of \u015e\u0259mkir (Shamkhor). On Nov. 27, tremors of 3.0 magnitude struck 30 km northwest of the Nagorno-Karabakh capital of Stepanakert and 19 km southwest of Azerbaijan&#8217;s \u015e\u0259mkir.<\/p>\n<p>Seismic activity is maintained in Turkey&#8217;s eastern region. Last week, 156 tremors were registered, one of which measured 7.0 in intensity (5.0 magnitude). It struck 3 km north of the city of Van on Nov. 30.
