{"id":157812,"date":"2012-02-01T11:37:06","date_gmt":"2012-02-01T07:37:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=157812"},"modified":"2012-02-01T11:37:06","modified_gmt":"2012-02-01T07:37:06","slug":"cargo-ship-sinks-off-turkish-coast-10-missing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2012\/02\/01\/cargo-ship-sinks-off-turkish-coast-10-missing.html","title":{"rendered":"Cargo Ship Sinks Off Turkish Coast, 10 Missing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Turkish coast guards are searching for 10 people after a dry cargo ship sank off the country\u2019s Black Sea coast, <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.globalpost.com\/dispatch\/news\/regions\/europe\/turkey\/120131\/cargo-ship-sinks-turkish-coast-10-missing\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Global Post<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span> reports.<\/p>\n<p>The Cambodia-registered ship \u201cVera,&#8221; which was sailing from Russia to the Turkish Aegean port of Aliaga and transporting iron, sank during a storm one mile off the Zonguldak port, <strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/af.reuters.com\/article\/commoditiesNews\/idAFL5E8CV6HN20120131\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Reuters<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong> reported.<\/p>\n<p>The 10 missing are believed to be Polish crew members, according to the <strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/world-europe-16815007\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">BBC<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>. Two other crew members were rescued during the search operation and taken to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Extreme weather and snow storms have hit Turkey over the past week.
