{"id":158696,"date":"2012-02-03T18:25:20","date_gmt":"2012-02-03T14:25:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=158696"},"modified":"2012-02-03T18:26:03","modified_gmt":"2012-02-03T14:26:03","slug":"iran-considers-ban-on-samsung-over-israeli-ad-depicts-attack-on-nuclear-plant-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2012\/02\/03\/iran-considers-ban-on-samsung-over-israeli-ad-depicts-attack-on-nuclear-plant-video.html","title":{"rendered":"Iran Considers Ban on Samsung over Israeli Ad Depicting Attack on Nuclear Plant (VIDEO)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A commercial in Israel featuring Mossad agents disguised as Iranian veiled women who end up blowing up an Iranian nuclear plant using a Samsung tablet has earned the wrath of the Islamic republic, <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/english.alarabiya.net\/articles\/2012\/02\/03\/192262.html\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Al Arabiya News<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span> reports.<\/p>\n<p>The commercial which angered Muslim internet users, now has Iran mulling a partial ban of products manufactured by the South Korean electronics giant Samsung, the Israel-based <strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.haaretz.com\/news\/diplomacy-defense\/iran-mulls-ban-of-samsung-over-israeli-commercial-depicting-attack-on-nuclear-plant-1.410773\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The Haaretz<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong> newspaper reported on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Head of Majlis Energy Committee Arsalan Fat\u2019hipour told Press TV that Samsung chose to forget the high volume of trade it shares with Iran in effort to move closer to Israel.<\/p>\n<p>Fat\u2019hipour said Samsung\u2019s apology to Iran was \u201cnecessary\u201d but it would not be enough to restore relations with Tehran.<\/p>\n<p>The official said that Iranian parliament was considering to cut the country\u2019s trade ties with South Korea for the \u201cinsulting\u201d ad which also depicted Iran as a \u201cprimitive society.\u201d He said the commercial alluded that Israel was \u201cpowerful enough to easily destroy Iran&#8217;s nuclear facilities or assassinate the country&#8217;s nuclear scientists.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In an attempt to contain the issue, Samsung released a statement condemning the production of the commercial by the firm\u2019s Israeli branch.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe width=\"425\" height=\"344\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8hoHrLL-tVw?wmode=transparent\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen> <\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In the commercial for the Israeli cable TV company HOT, four characters from a popular show called \u201cAsfur\u201d arrive disguised as women near a Iranian nuclear facility in Isfahan, where they meet a bored Mossad agent passing time watching the show on his Samsung tablet.<\/p>\n<p>The Mossad man then shows the various features of the tablet to the characters, when one of them accidently pushes a button which causes the nuclear plant in the background to explode.<\/p>\n<p>To this, the character said: &#8220;What?
