The patient is in stable condition.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our diagnosis was correct: there was another tumor in the cecum region. When he underwent surgery in the US, the tumor was removed and the small intestine was connected to the large intestine at the transverse section. Another tumor developed there, which was removed and the intestines reconnected,&#8221; said Melkonyan.<\/p>\n<p>The doctor mentioned that Der-Boghossian is in intensive care, but most likely on Tuesday he will be moved to a regular hospital room. When asked when the patient can be discharged, Melkonyan said, &#8220;Usually these types of patients, if no complications arise \u2014 we keep them for 10\u201312 days. Then we can discharge them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The doctor also said surgery went very well and most likely there won&#8217;t be any complications.<\/p>\n<p>Recall, Der-Boghossian, 70, late last year was convicted of \u201ccoercing\u201d local underage boys to have sex with him.
