According to one version of the story, the weapons were embezzled from the police and for this embezzlement, on Mar. 3 (that is, 4 days after the arsenal was discovered), Manukyan was arrested. According to the paper, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan considers this a political case, as he suspects that the weapons were to be used for political motives.

Furthermore, Haykakan Jamanak reports, the robbery from the home of ARF-D Bureau chair Hrant Margaryan in Yerevan on Apr. 2 wasn’t robbery, in fact, but an unofficial search of his home. It was reported earlier in the press that stolen from Margaryan’s home were jewelry, bank cards and a gun.

The large arsenal of weapons found in the Yerevan district of Nor Nork in February might have a connection to RA Police Forces Deputy Commander Vanik Manukyan…

[10
40178,16268,11606,40220,40176,40177
