{"id":242464,"date":"2013-10-30T20:26:03","date_gmt":"2013-10-30T16:26:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=242464"},"modified":"2013-10-30T20:26:26","modified_gmt":"2013-10-30T16:26:26","slug":"murder-accused-removed-stitches-on-his-mouth-after-attorney%e2%80%99s-appeal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2013\/10\/30\/murder-accused-removed-stitches-on-his-mouth-after-attorney%e2%80%99s-appeal.html","title":{"rendered":"Murder Accused Removed Stitches on His Mouth After Attorney\u2019s Appeal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">Karen Kungortsev, 22, accused of the murder of David Hovakimyan, 15, and currently being held in the Vanadzor Penitentiary, removed the stitches he used to <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2013\/10\/28\/prisoner-sews-his-mouth-shut-insists-hes-innocent.html\"><span style=\"color:#000080;\">sew his mouth shut last week<\/span><\/a><\/strong> in protest of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2013\/10\/22\/mother-of-man-accused-of-murder-claims-son-was-beaten-by-police.html\"><span style=\"color:#000080;\">unlawful police conduct<\/span><\/a><\/strong>.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn particular, the RA Police television program Hertapah Mas showed his photo and claimed he admitted his guilt; however, according to the accused, he has not admitted his guilty, and he had nothing to do with Hovakimyan&rsquo;s murder. &nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tKungortsev&rsquo;s attorney, Helsinki Association for Human Rights representative Ara Papikyan told Epress.am that he advised the young man to remove the stitches. According to the attorney, he has not yet received all the documents from the inspector; he is currently studying the materials in his possession.
