{"id":247841,"date":"2014-01-29T17:58:20","date_gmt":"2014-01-29T13:58:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=247841"},"modified":"2014-01-29T18:19:11","modified_gmt":"2014-01-29T14:19:11","slug":"healthcare-minister-promises-to-look-into-allegations-of-kickbacks-in-medical-institutions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2014\/01\/29\/healthcare-minister-promises-to-look-into-allegations-of-kickbacks-in-medical-institutions.html","title":{"rendered":"Healthcare Minister Promises to Look Into Allegations of &#8216;Kickbacks&#8217; in Medical Institutions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">RA Minister of Healthcare Derenik Dumanyan did not take Lyudmila Sargsyan to court; instead, he asked the RA General Prosecutor to verify&nbsp;her allegations and to punish the guilty, the minister himself informed members of the press today.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aravot.am\/2013\/12\/19\/416252\/\"><span style=\"color:#0000CD;\"><strong>article published on Aravot.am<\/strong><\/span><\/a> [AM], Sargsyan, a parliamentary deputy in the Armenian National Congress faction and member of the parliamentary Standing Committee on Healthcare, Maternity, and Childhood, wrote that the &quot;kickbacks&quot; in medical establishments are 5&ndash;10%.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&quot;I am grateful to Mrs. Deputy for raising this issue because I&#39;m sure that the issue she raised currently does not exist. She had disseminated her statement when state orders were being carried out in medical institutions regarding the 5 to 10% kickbacks. I wrote to the MP and asked her to present us with data, and she replied that she is not obliged to do so.
