The millions of dollars stolen and the presidents of powerful countries boycotting the games often overshadow the purely athletic component.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tArmenia&#39;s participation&nbsp;can be viewed from this perspective: few in the country know who will represent Armenia in Sochi, but nearly all are informed that Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will be present at the opening ceremony.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSports analyst Armen Nikoghosyan recalls that Serzh Sargsyan wasn&#39;t present 4 years ago in Vancouver &mdash; he sees a political context in that as well.
