{"id":251435,"date":"2014-03-31T14:11:16","date_gmt":"2014-03-31T10:11:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=251435"},"modified":"2014-03-31T14:20:32","modified_gmt":"2014-03-31T10:20:32","slug":"any-assistance-to-kessab-armenians-is-important-armenian-mps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2014\/03\/31\/any-assistance-to-kessab-armenians-is-important-armenian-mps.html","title":{"rendered":"Any Assistance to Kessab Armenians is Important: Armenian MPs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">Members of Armenia&#39;s National Assembly Naira Karapetyan, Levon Martirosyan, Edmon Marukyan, Tevan Poghosyan, Arman Sahakyan, and Samvel Farmanyan recently presented the findings of their fact-finding mission to Syria on March 26&ndash;27 to the parliamentary speaker, the National Assembly and the Armenian government.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAccording to an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.parliament.am\/news.php?cat_id=2&amp;NewsID=6515&amp;year=2014&amp;month=03&amp;day=29&amp;lang=eng\"><span style=\"color:#0000CD;\"><strong>official statement<\/strong><\/span><\/a> issued by the Armenian parliament, during their visit, the MPs met the Armenians who were displaced from Kessab in Latakia, Catholicos Aram I, and Armenian colleagues in Lebanon&#39;s parliament to discuss the situation of Syrian-Armenians.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe deputies developed some proposals that after further discussion, &quot;can be implemented through not only state, but also private, public, and national channels.&quot;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe group notes that any possible assistance for Kessab Armenians in this tragic situation (political, diplomatic, informational, moral, material, or immaterial) is needed today.
