{"id":252763,"date":"2014-04-29T23:29:32","date_gmt":"2014-04-29T19:29:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=252763"},"modified":"2014-04-29T23:30:24","modified_gmt":"2014-04-29T19:30:24","slug":"why-armenian-mps-want-to-abolish-luxury-tax-on-expensive-cars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2014\/04\/29\/why-armenian-mps-want-to-abolish-luxury-tax-on-expensive-cars.html","title":{"rendered":"Why Armenian MPs Want to Abolish Luxury Tax on Expensive Cars"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) MP Vardan Ayvazyan and Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) MP Mikael Mejlumyan introduced a bill that proposes to eliminate the luxury tax on the import of expensive cars.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAccording to the MPs, the current law has led to people not purchasing and importing into Armenia vehicles that cost 25 million AMD (about $60,550&nbsp;USD) or more because they are forced to pay 20% of the value of the car in taxes.
