\n\tProtests in Armenia often take place because of social reasons; people are demanding positive changes in their life and that isn’t connected with either Russia or the West. The latter was said by Prosperous Armenia Party leader and oligarch Gagik Tsarukyan during an interview with “Nezavisimaya Gazeta” Russian daily.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tNote, that on October 10, the three non-ruling authorities (Armenian National Congress (HAK), Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), Heritage Party) are organizing a major rally in Yerevan’s Liberty Square, which Tsarukyan will also be participating in.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t“People often people feel pain and suffering from ‘Maidans’. I am not in line with that path. However, the alternative to the “Maidan” should not be stagnation. That would also lead to losses. For a small country like Armenia, those losses can be extremely painful,” said the political figure.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tResponding to the idea that Armenia has dominant anti-Russian sentiments, Tsarukyan noted that “that false idea was artificially put into circulation.”<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t“I’m confident for myself and my close circle, that you have never heard any anti-Russian statements from us in the past and will not hear them in the future…” assured Tsarukyan.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to Tsarukyan, Armenia can not let itself become a clashing object of geopolitical interests. He noted, that he has an approach regarding to Armenian-Russian relations; Armenia needs a strong ally; Russia.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t“This approach, however, has another side; Russia needs an economically strong and quickly developing Armenia in the South Caucasus. I’m claiming that this is the best approach, which gives us the opportunity to deepen our relations in all sectors. The stronger Armenia becomes,  the deeper and more tightly bound Armenian-Russian relations will be,” stated Tsarukyan.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
