{"id":259599,"date":"2014-11-10T14:19:41","date_gmt":"2014-11-10T10:19:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=259599"},"modified":"2014-11-10T14:24:19","modified_gmt":"2014-11-10T10:24:19","slug":"national-assembly-to-discuss-a-bill-on-karabakh%e2%80%99s-recognition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2014\/11\/10\/national-assembly-to-discuss-a-bill-on-karabakh%e2%80%99s-recognition.html","title":{"rendered":"National Assembly to Discuss a Bill on Karabakh\u2019s Recognition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">A draft law on &ldquo;Fundamental aspects of the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) and the Republic of Armenia&rsquo;s political-military security&rdquo;, suggested by Heritage Party faction MP Zaruhi Postanjyan, will be discussed during National Assembly&rsquo;s this week&#39;s four-day work session, although the National Assembly&rsquo;s foreign relations standing committee did not see it in a positive light.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">National Assembly Speaker Galust Sahakyan stressed that the discussion will take place tomorrow at 2:30pm, because the Heritage faction presented the draft as an urgent issue.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">The draft law was discussed at the National Assembly&#39;s outgoing session, in NKR, however, according to Postanjyan&rsquo;s assessment, the discussion had deliberately failed, because MP Alexander Arzumanyan had motioned to convene a closed session.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">The Heritage Party&rsquo;s suggestions in the draft law are:<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t1. Recognize NK\/Artsakh as an independent state;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t2. Exclude peacekeepers, customs checkpoints, or other structures from international organizations on the state borders between NK\/Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t3. Exclude the deployment of troops from other states or international organizations on the republics of NK\/Artsakh, Armenia, and Azerbaijan&rsquo;s borders;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t4.
