Aghamalyan received the maximum sentence of 10 years under the various articles he was charged with, says the Helsinki Association human rights defender organization&rsquo;s <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/hahr.am\/index.php\/ARM\/peaceful-assemblies-root-hy\/2012-11-02-09-26-15\/1908-%D5%B0%D5%A1%D5%B5%D5%AF-%D5%A1%D5%B2%D5%A1%D5%B4%D5%A1%D5%AC%D5%B5%D5%A1%D5%B6%D5%AB-%D5%A3%D5%B8%D6%80%D5%AE%D5%B8%D5%BE-%D5%AF%D5%A1%D5%B5%D5%A1%D6%81%D5%BE%D5%A5%D6%81-%D5%A4%D5%A1%D5%BF%D5%A1%D5%BE%D5%B3%D5%AB%D5%BC-%D5%BF%D5%A5%D5%BD%D5%A1%D5%B6%D5%B5%D5%B8%D6%82%D5%A9\" style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\"><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\">website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"line-height: 1.6em; color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\">.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">Hayk Aghamalyan and his relatives claim that the investigation of the case was conducted with gross violations; forcefully arresting Aghamalyan, torturing him during the interrogation process, and the absence of the knife that killed Hayrapetyan.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">During one of the court sessions <a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2014\/11\/18\/juvenile-testified-to-murder-by-way-of-beatings-and-threats-says-mother.html\"><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\">Aghamalyan noted<\/span><\/a> that he participated in a fight and stabbed an unknown person in the chest. After seeing a photo of Hayrapetyan, he understood that he did not strike him.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">During the court debates, the teenager&rsquo;s mother, Narine Aghamalyan, raised the issue of torture against his son. &ldquo;They hit his spine, after which he lost consciousness. They told him he had killed someone and that he&rsquo;d better confess, if he cares about his mother and sister,&rdquo; said Aghamalyan&rsquo;s mother.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">The existing violations of the case <a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2014\/09\/24\/257829.html\"><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\">were also spoken by<\/span><\/a> the Helsinki Association president, human rights defender Mikayel Danielyan.<\/span><\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>They hit his spine, after which he lost consciousness.
