{"id":262541,"date":"2015-02-13T17:12:45","date_gmt":"2015-02-13T13:12:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=262541"},"modified":"2015-02-13T17:12:45","modified_gmt":"2015-02-13T13:12:45","slug":"ngo-demands-prosecutor-general-provide-the-copy-of-letter-to-russian-colleague-regarding-permyakovs-transfer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2015\/02\/13\/ngo-demands-prosecutor-general-provide-the-copy-of-letter-to-russian-colleague-regarding-permyakovs-transfer.html","title":{"rendered":"NGO Demands Prosecutor General Provide the Copy of Letter to Russian Colleague Regarding Permyakov&#8217;s Transfer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">Today, the Union of Informed Citizens NGO applied to Administrative Court demanding that the court obliged the Prosecutor&#39;s office to provide a copy of Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan&rsquo;s letter to Russian Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika with the demand of transferring the suspected murderer of the seven members of Avetisyan family Russian soldier <a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2015\/01\/13\/russian-soldier-admits-guilt-in-gyumri-massacre-russian-and-armenian-prosecutors-in-negotiations-over-investigation.html\"><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\">Valery Permyakov<\/span><\/a> to Armenian law enforcement. The Prosecutor General has released a statement on February 3 about sending the letter.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe NGO&rsquo;s released statement notes that on February 4 they applied immediately to the Prosecutor&rsquo;s office asking them to provide the letter. &ldquo;And although the Law on Freedom of Information states that information asked for must be provided within 5 days, the Prosecutor&rsquo;s office still hasn&rsquo;t given a response,&rdquo; said the statement.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tRecall, that on January 15, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2015\/01\/16\/mp-confirms-gyurmi-murder-suspect-is-still-in-armenia.html\"><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\">thousands of people protested<\/span><\/a> in front of Gyumri&#39;s Prosecutor&#39;s office demanding that RA Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan appealed&nbsp;to the Russian side <a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2015\/01\/22\/permyakov-illegally-kept-in-russian-military-base-concludes-mp.html\"><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\">to transfer the criminal case<\/span><\/a> to Armenian law enforcement.
