Koshaberd does not operate yet. The old flue-gas stack, as stated by the author, is considered a backup, and is meant to be used during industrial accidents and other related situations.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tHowever, due to the emissions from the old stack, clouds of smoke have accumulated over Alaverdi, significantly changing the condition of ambient air in the town.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe coordinator of Aarhus Centre, as reported by <a href=\"http:\/\/ecolur.org\/en\/news\/mining\/varmenian-copper-programv-cjsc-alleging-for-residentsv-understanding-alaverdi-town-to-be-exposed-to-intensive-impact-of-chlorofluorocarbon-for-45-days\/7369\/\"><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\">EcoLur<\/span><\/a>, has sent an inquiry to the company.
