{"id":270071,"date":"2015-12-15T10:37:23","date_gmt":"2015-12-15T06:37:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=270071"},"modified":"2015-12-15T10:39:16","modified_gmt":"2015-12-15T06:39:16","slug":"lifer-in-nubarashen-prison-restart-hunger-strike","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2015\/12\/15\/lifer-in-nubarashen-prison-restart-hunger-strike.html","title":{"rendered":"Lifers in Nubarashen Prison Restart Hunger Strike"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">As many as 40 inmates of Yerevan&#39;s <em>Nubarashen<\/em> penitentiary serving life sentences have once again gone on an open ended hunger strike; the convicts demand that their cases be reviewed, local <em>Hraparak<\/em> daily reports.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tRecall, more than 50 <em>Nubarashen<\/em> lifers had started a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2015\/10\/15\/lifers-in-yerevan-prison-on-hunger-strike-will-stop-only-if-cases-are-reviewed-relatives-say.html\"><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\">joint hunger strike<\/span><\/a> back in October and submitted a 10-point petition to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan. The inmates, among others, were demanding revision of their cases, implementation of functioning parole and amnesty systems for lifers.
