{"id":271154,"date":"2016-02-20T11:54:00","date_gmt":"2016-02-20T07:54:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=271154"},"modified":"2016-02-20T11:54:00","modified_gmt":"2016-02-20T07:54:00","slug":"yerevan-court-issues-arrest-warrant-for-vardges-gaspari","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2016\/02\/20\/yerevan-court-issues-arrest-warrant-for-vardges-gaspari.html","title":{"rendered":"Yerevan Court Issues Arrest Warrant for Vardges Gaspari"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\tThe Shengavit district court of Yerevan issued on Friday, February 19, an arrest warrant for civic activist Vardges Gaspari who <a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2016\/01\/21\/armenian-civic-activist-forcibly-taken-to-court-video.html\"><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\">has been refusing<\/span><\/a> to attend his case hearing, Gaspari&rsquo;s lawyer, David Gyurjyan, told Epress.am. The lawyer called the fact that his client had not been notified about the decision in advance &ldquo;a violation of the law.&rdquo;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSpeaking to Epress.am, Gaspari&rsquo;s wife, Anahit Ayvazi, said a group of law enforcement officers went to their house Friday evening and said they had a warrant to arrest the activist: &ldquo;They hadn&rsquo;t even sent a summons; just came and took him away.
