Over the following years, this number grew rapidly: in 1995, 152 people became doctors and candidates of sciences; in 1996 &ndash; 196 people; in 1997 &ndash; 247, etc. In 2013, 421 doctoral and candidate degrees were handed out; in 2004 &ndash; 481; in 2005 &ndash; 475. In 2009, the figure rose to 568 and decreased again in 2012 to 495.
