The ruling came after prosecution announced at a Friday court hearing that they were dropping criminal proceedings against Artak Gevorgyan, a member of the local street-art group Hakaharvats (Counter Strike).<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSpeaking to reporters after the hearing, Gevorgyan said he would continue his activities &ldquo;no matter how hard [authorities] try to hold me back.&quot;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tTigran Safaryan, a lawyer for the activist, added for his part that the NSS <a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2016\/06\/20\/expected-laser-beams-and-helicopters-but-found-sleeping-security-officers-armenian-artist-testifies-in-court.html\"><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\">sudden change of heart<\/span><\/a> which resulted in their refusal to further participate in the criminal proceedings was influenced by the appointment in February of a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/2016\/02\/12\/%D5%A1%D5%A1%D5%AE-%D5%AB-%D5%B6%D5%B8%D6%80-%D5%B2%D5%A5%D5%AF%D5%A1%D5%BE%D5%A1%D6%80%D5%B6-%D5%A7-%D5%BD%D5%A5%D6%80%D5%AA-%D5%BD%D5%A1%D6%80%D5%A3%D5%BD%D5%B5%D5%A1%D5%B6%D5%AB-%D6%83%D5%A5%D5%BD.html#\"><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\">new chief of the agency<\/span><\/a>&nbsp;<strong><em>[ARM].&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>&ldquo;I&#39;ve said from the beginning that the initiation of a criminal case was ludicrous.
