The incident, as well as the one involving the man beating his wife on a Yerevan street, is being investigated, officials said.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\"><em><strong>2 pm<\/strong><\/em> Deceased Nagorno-Karabakh war veteran Vardan Tumanyan&#39;s next of kin will file a court motion for the detention of Gevorg Sargsyan, one of the men currently <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2015\/09\/29\/defendants-plead-not-guilty-to-veterans-beating-victims-relatives-motion-for-prosecutors-recusal.html\"><span style=\"color:#000080;\">on trial<\/span><\/a><\/strong> for beating Tumanyan in July 2014. Sargsyan <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2015\/04\/09\/suspects-in-the-beating-of-war-veteran-released-from-prison.html\"><span style=\"color:#000080;\">was released<\/span><\/a><\/strong> on his own recognizance several months ago, and on Saturday, he <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2016\/11\/27\/woman-cruelly-beaten-on-yerevan-street-by-husband.html\"><span style=\"color:#000080;\">was caught<\/span><\/a><\/strong> brutally beating his wife in broad daylight on a central Yerevan street.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&ldquo;He has committed another crime while out on own recognizance, thus violating the conditions of the release,&rdquo; Tigran Muradyan, a lawyer for the deceased&#39;s wife, told Epress.am on Monday.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tVardan Tumanyan died one day after being brutally beaten in a Yerevan yard in July, 2014. Gevorg Sargsyan, known by the nickname &quot;Jungle&quot;, and his two nephews, Sargis Ghukasyan and Viktor Hovsepyan, were subsequently arrested on charges of &ldquo;infliction of willful medium-gravity damage to health by a group of persons;&rdquo; the prosecution believes that the veteran&#39;s death was not directly caused by the beating.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tOn November 26, human rights activist Zara Hovhannisyan witnessed Jungle badly beating his wife on Yerevan&#39;s Teryan street.
