He then got into a fight with [Chechen] and was stabbed as a result,&rdquo; the website writes, citing own sources.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tGevorg Sargsyan is among the three defendants <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2015\/09\/29\/defendants-plead-not-guilty-to-veterans-beating-victims-relatives-motion-for-prosecutors-recusal.html\"><span style=\"color:#000080;\">in a trial<\/span><\/a><\/strong> which concerns the 2014 beating of Nagorno-Karabakh war veteran Vardan Tumanyan, who died in hospital the following day. Several months ago, the assault suspect <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2015\/04\/09\/suspects-in-the-beating-of-war-veteran-released-from-prison.html\"><span style=\"color:#000080;\">was released<\/span><\/a><\/strong> on his own recognizance, and on November 26, he was seen <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2016\/11\/27\/woman-cruelly-beaten-on-yerevan-street-by-husband.html\"><span style=\"color:#000080;\">brutally beating<\/span><\/a><\/strong> his wife in broad daylight on a central Yerevan street and managed to escape the scene after the intervention of human rights activist Zara Hovhannisyan.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tOn Monday, Epress.am was informed by a police spokesperson that Sargsyan had been taken to Yerevan&#39;s St. Grigor Lusavorich hospital at around 6 am on November 27 with a stab wound to the left thigh.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gevorg Sargsyan is among the three defendants in a trial which concerns the 2014 beating of Nagorno-Karabakh war veteran Vardan Tumanyan, who died in hospital the following day.
