{"id":278532,"date":"2017-02-07T14:26:38","date_gmt":"2017-02-07T10:26:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/epress.am\/?p=278532"},"modified":"2017-02-07T14:26:38","modified_gmt":"2017-02-07T10:26:38","slug":"european-court-requests-jailed-opposition-gunmans-health-records-from-armenias-government","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2017\/02\/07\/european-court-requests-jailed-opposition-gunmans-health-records-from-armenias-government.html","title":{"rendered":"European Court Requests Jailed Opposition Gunman&#8217;s Health Records from Armenia&#8217;s Government"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The European Court of Human Rights has requested Armenia&#8217;s government on February 3 to provide the complete medical history and medical records on Nubarashen prisoner <span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #003366;\" href=\"http:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2016\/11\/04\/injured-armed-group-member-asking-doctors-to-amputate-his-leg-lawyer-says.html\">Hovhannes Harutyunyan<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, one of the opposition gunmen who kept a Yerevan police station under siege for two weeks last summer; the Court has given the Armenian officials until February 15 to respond to the request, Harutyunyan&#8217;s lawyer, Hayarpi Sargsyan, told Epress.am Tuesday. The lawyer expressed the hope that the European Court will finally facilitate her client&#8217;s transfer to a civilian hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Sargsyan said that <strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><a style=\"color: #003366;\" href=\"http:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2016\/07\/26\/several-injured-on-both-sides-after-overnight-fire-exchange-between-police-and-%e2%80%98daredevils-of-sasun%e2%80%99.html\">Harutyunyan&#8217;s gunshot leg wound<\/a><\/span><\/strong> hasn&#8217;t been fully cleared of debris; neither has the prisoner undergone a knee surgery as such. According to some medical douments, Harutyunyan has had 18 pieces of debris in his wound for nearly 6 months, the lawyer added.<\/p>\n<p>She also said that her client, for no apparent basis, was transferred to a solitary confinement cell from 17 to 19 January.
