{"id":279126,"date":"2017-02-18T12:17:27","date_gmt":"2017-02-18T08:17:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/epress.am\/?p=279126"},"modified":"2017-02-18T12:17:27","modified_gmt":"2017-02-18T08:17:27","slug":"two-sasna-tsrer-gunmen-go-on-hunger-strike-in-solidarity-with-jailed-supporter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2017\/02\/18\/two-sasna-tsrer-gunmen-go-on-hunger-strike-in-solidarity-with-jailed-supporter.html","title":{"rendered":"Two Sasna Tsrer Gunmen Go on Hunger Strike in Solidarity with Jailed Supporter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two members of the <strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Sasna Tsrer<\/span><\/strong> (Daredevils of Sasun) armed group, Ashot Petrosyan and Arayik Khandoyan, have gone on hunger strike in prison in a show of solidarity with <strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><a style=\"color: #003366;\" href=\"http:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2017\/02\/13\/my-family-is-being-persecuted-brother-of-supporter-of-yerevan-gunmen-goes-missing.html\">Artur Sargsyan<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, the man who on July 26 drove through the police cordon around the Sasan Tsrer-occupied Yerevan police station to deliver food to the armed group and was <strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><a style=\"color: #003366;\" href=\"http:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2017\/02\/10\/newly-arrested-man-who-delivered-food-to-opposition-armed-group-goes-on-hunger-strike.html\">recently jailed again<\/a><\/span><\/strong> on suspicion of aiding the gunmen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPetrosyan and Khandoyan are thus expressing their support to Sargsyan and demanding that he be released from detention,\u201d their lawyer, Arayik Papikyan, told Epress.am on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>According to the lawyer, after going on hunger strike, Khandoyan has been moved to a solitary cell, while Petrosyan shares a cell with other hunger-strikers. The prison administration has yet to respond to Papikyan&#8217;s appeal to transfer Petrosyan to a cell with better conditions.
