{"id":279565,"date":"2017-03-15T16:29:26","date_gmt":"2017-03-15T12:29:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/epress.am\/?p=279565"},"modified":"2017-03-15T16:29:26","modified_gmt":"2017-03-15T12:29:26","slug":"monitors-say-representatives-of-non-governmental-forces-pressured-ahead-of-parliamentary-elections","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2017\/03\/15\/monitors-say-representatives-of-non-governmental-forces-pressured-ahead-of-parliamentary-elections.html","title":{"rendered":"Monitors Say Representatives of Non-Governmental Forces Pressured Ahead of Parliamentary Elections"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Out of the 2.564.244 citizens registered to vote at the April 2 parliamentary elections in Armenia, 31.993 do not have a date of birth mentioned, while for 2755 people there is no exact address of residence, Transparency International Anti-Corruption Center (TIAC) head Varuzhan Hokotyan said in a news conference on Wednesday, presenting the findings of their pre-election monitoring.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the official voter list published by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), 2755 people do not have an exact address mentioned; they have their street listed, but no city or region or apartment,\u201d Hoktanyan said.<\/p>\n<p>According to the TIAC head, since the official start of the election campaign one week ago, there have already been 14 reported instances of pressure against representatives of non-governmental forces and their family members.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe monitors have also recorded instances of pressure against teachers and health workers who have been obliged [by authorities] to bring in a certain number of votes during the elections.
