{"id":280298,"date":"2017-05-02T17:14:17","date_gmt":"2017-05-02T13:14:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/epress.am\/?p=280298"},"modified":"2017-05-02T17:14:17","modified_gmt":"2017-05-02T13:14:17","slug":"six-people-killed-in-workplace-accidents-in-armenia-last-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2017\/05\/02\/six-people-killed-in-workplace-accidents-in-armenia-last-year.html","title":{"rendered":"Six People Killed in Workplace Accidents in Armenia Last Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Recent statistics published by Armenia&#8217;s National Statistical Service shows that there were 58 workplace-related accidents in 2016 in the country due to violations of occupational health and safety standards, 6 of which ended in fatality.<\/p>\n<p>Most of these of accidents (65%) occurred in the mining industry, with half of the cases taking place in Armenia&#8217;s Syunik province.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the people injured in workplace-related accidents have become unable to work; 3 of them have acquired various degrees of disability.
