{"id":281162,"date":"2017-06-16T13:20:29","date_gmt":"2017-06-16T09:20:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/epress.am\/?p=281162"},"modified":"2017-06-16T13:20:29","modified_gmt":"2017-06-16T09:20:29","slug":"criminal-case-against-abusive-husband-dismissed-due-to-reconciliation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2017\/06\/16\/criminal-case-against-abusive-husband-dismissed-due-to-reconciliation.html","title":{"rendered":"Criminal Case Against Abusive Husband Dismissed Due to Reconciliation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The criminal case against <strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2016\/12\/14\/__trashed.html\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Gevorg Sargsyan<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>, a Yerevan man known by the nickname &#8220;Jungle&#8221; accused of beating his wife &#8211; has been terminated because of the reconciliation of the parties, Sargsyan\u2019s lawyer Tamara Baghdasaryan told Epress.am on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Recall, Zara Hovhannisyan, coordinator of \u00a0the Yerevan-based Coalition to Stop Violence against Women NGO, <strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2016\/11\/27\/woman-cruelly-beaten-on-yerevan-street-by-husband.html\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">witnessed<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong> a young woman being beaten in a central Yerevan street on November 26, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[My husband and I] were just driving by when we saw a man horrifically beating up a young woman, punching and kicking her, dragging her along the ground. I didn\u2019t even wait for the car to stop and jumped out of it to run to the woman and try to help her.
