He didn\u2019t explain his rage during the incident.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI switched off and hid the video camera to prevent him from damaging it but kept holding the microphone in a visible way, which was enough for him to understand that I\u2019m a journalist, then ran away and got in the car\u201d Ghalechyan said afterwards. \u201cI told him not to approach me or I will call the police, which made him even angrier.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe reached for the car\u2019s door which I had already locked. When he realized that the door is locked he started kicking and punching it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/epress.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/carazatutyun.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-281758\" src=\"http:\/\/epress.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/carazatutyun.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ghalechyan then headed to a police station and reported the incident to senior officers there. The man was brought into the police station for questioning later in the day, Azatutyun writes.<\/p>\n<p>Police officers also inspected the damaged car used by the RFE\/RL crew. They pledged to hold the violent man accountable. Armenia\u2019s human rights ombudsman, Arman Tatoyan, was quick to express concern at the incident.
