{"id":286806,"date":"2018-09-07T09:02:57","date_gmt":"2018-09-07T05:02:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/epress.am\/?p=286806"},"modified":"2018-09-07T09:02:57","modified_gmt":"2018-09-07T05:02:57","slug":"amulsar-came-to-yerevan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2018\/09\/07\/amulsar-came-to-yerevan.html","title":{"rendered":"Amulsar Came to Yerevan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2018\/09\/04\/the-issue-of-amulsar-landmark-conflict-of-todays-armenia.html\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Amulsar protectors<\/span><\/a> are supporting the Government in its actions amd are requesting to speed up inspections<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/epress.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/amulsarinyerevan.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-286795\" src=\"http:\/\/epress.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/amulsarinyerevan.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Environmentalists and residents of the enlarged Jermuk community, as well as Sevan community carried out an action in front of Armenia\u2019s Government building with a slogan \u201cAmulsar is Coming to Yerevan.\u201d \u00a0According to the participants of the action, they support the position of the government to inspect and conduct new assessments related to the permits given to mining companies, and specifically Lydian Armenia, the company intending to exploit Amulsar Gold Mine. Their request to the government is to speed up the inspections.<\/p>\n<p>The protesters had brought green and red balloons: the red ones carried mining company-led myths on them, while the green balloons carried messages the environmentalists wish to bring to life.
