{"id":290404,"date":"2019-04-15T12:17:22","date_gmt":"2019-04-15T08:17:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/epress.am\/?p=290404"},"modified":"2019-04-15T12:17:22","modified_gmt":"2019-04-15T08:17:22","slug":"lydian-international-is-misleading-the-public-and-their-investors-about-amulsar-mining-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2019\/04\/15\/lydian-international-is-misleading-the-public-and-their-investors-about-amulsar-mining-project.html","title":{"rendered":"Lydian International is misleading the public and their investors about Amulsar mining project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On April 12, 2019 Lydian International disseminated an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lydianinternational.co.uk\/news\/2019-news\/456-\">announcement<\/a> stating that \u201cthe Administrative Court of the Republic of Armenia ruled in favour of Lydian and instructed the Armenian Police <b>to<\/b> <b>remove trespassers and their property from the Company\u2019s Amulsar Project site and assure Lydian free passage to Amulsar<\/b>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, <b>the actual ruling<\/b> of the Administrative Court published at <a href=\"http:\/\/datalex.am\/?app=AppCaseSearch&amp;case_id=38562071809926642\">datalex.am<\/a> website (a portal containing the database of all court rulings and procedures in Armenia) <b>states something different<\/b>, and this allows us to state that Lydian is once again misleading the public, as well as its investors.<\/p>\n<p><b>The court ruling contains no word about assuring Lydian free passage to Amulsar<\/b>. It reads:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c1. Satisfy the claim of Lydian Armenia CJSC against the Police of Armenia (the Police of Vayots Dzori Marz, Jermuk department); instruct the police to remove trespassers from the property of the applicant on the following coordinates: 39.740911, 45.609243 and 39.734013, 45.608475.<\/p>\n<p>2\u2024 Confiscate 4000 AMD from the Police in favor of Lydian Armenia CJSC to compensate the state fee for filing the court appeal.<\/p>\n<p>3\u2024 This court ruling will be enforced in 1 month after its publication, and it can be appealed to the Appeal Court of the Republic of Armenia in the period before its enforcement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Thus, the court ruling has <b>no mention of stopping the blockades and ensuring Lydians access to the territory<\/b>. The whole appeal itself is about cars, tents and trailers which the peaceful protesters have installed for wintering, and which are allegedly \u201cinvading\u201d into Lydian\u2019s territory for <b>2 meters<\/b>.
