According to a press release by the US Embassy in Armenia, the US Embassy will showcase America\u2019s cultural diversity by featuring Brazzaville, an indie pop band, September 11-15, 2010. \u00a0<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Brazzaville will perform in Yerevan on September 12 at 8 pm in Lovers\u2019 Park on Baghramyan Avenue.\u00a0 On September 13, the group will travel to Gyumri for a same-day concert at the State Drama Theater at 7 pm.\u00a0 The band will also perform for music school students in Hradzan, as well as conduct a master class in Yerevan.\u00a0 All events are open to the public and free of charge.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Brazzaville was formed in 1997 by David Brown (vocals, guitar). The band also includes Matthew Reynolds De Merritt (horns, keyboards), Ivan Knight (drums), Kenny Lyon (guitar), and David Ralicke (saxophone, trombone).\u00a0 Brazzaville has released nine albums, including Teenage Summer Days and East L.A. Breeze, which reached the top of the Russian charts thanks to its English version of KINO’s “A Star Called Sun.”\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
