The first person to give a speech at the Armenian National Congress (HAK) rally, which began just a little over an hour ago in front of the Matenadaran (Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts) in Yerevan, was leader of the Pan-Armenian National Movement Aram Manukyan. <\/p>\n

Manukyan congratulated rally participants on the occasion of the country’s independence, as well as the 3rd year anniversary of the Movement. <\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He said that 3 years ago, Levon Ter-Petrosyan returned to politics and from that began the “active stage” of the Movement. <\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In Manukyan’s words, there’s no such institutional body in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) like the Armenian National Congress.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
“With this rally, we begin a new stage, which will be practical in nature, with marches, protests and specific actions. With industrious processes, we will reach what we want: we are going to liberate Freedom (Liberty) Square,” he said. <\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He noted that HAK member parties are strong and are fighting using collective efforts.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
