{"id":42084,"date":"2010-09-26T12:48:00","date_gmt":"2010-09-26T12:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/2010\/09\/26\/recognizing-nkr%e2%80%99s-independence-will-endanger-negotiations-analyst\/"},"modified":"2010-09-26T12:48:00","modified_gmt":"2010-09-26T12:48:00","slug":"recognizing-nkr%e2%80%99s-independence-will-endanger-negotiations-analyst","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2010\/09\/26\/recognizing-nkr%e2%80%99s-independence-will-endanger-negotiations-analyst.html","title":{"rendered":"Recognizing NKR\u2019s Independence will Endanger Negotiations: Analyst"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Arian AMU\">If Armenia legally recognizes Nagorno-Karabakh\u2019s independence, there is a danger that the process of conflict settlement will be interrupted, said politcal analyst Alexander Iskandaryan at a Sept. 25 press conference.<\/span><br style=\"font-family: Arian AMU\" \/><br style=\"font-family: Arian AMU\" \/><span style=\"font-family: Arian AMU\">The analyst had recently come across in the press the idea that Armenia had the opportunity to recognize NKR\u2019s independence after Western countries recognized Kosovo\u2019s independence.<\/span><br style=\"font-family: Arian AMU\" \/><br style=\"font-family: Arian AMU\" \/><span style=\"font-family: Arian AMU\">\u201cLet\u2019s think: Armenia begins to make an effort, other states begin to recognize NKR [as an independent republic], which forces Azerbaijan to choose a settlement option that\u2019s favorable for us,\u201d he said.<\/span><br style=\"font-family: Arian AMU\" \/><br style=\"font-family: Arian AMU\" \/><span style=\"font-family: Arian AMU\">The Caucasus Institute Director noted that, for the above to happen, it\u2019s necessary to receive recognition from the US, Russia, Turkey and other countries.<\/span><br style=\"font-family: Arian AMU\" \/><br style=\"font-family: Arian AMU\" \/><span style=\"font-family: Arian AMU\">\u201cIs it possible to do that?
