Gathered in front of the Government of Armenia building today (along with others protesting different causes) were a group of Iranian students who were protesting incidents of violence and human rights violations in Iran.<\/p>\n

One of the protestors had made and displayed a gallows tree symbolizing Iran’s death penalty as a gift to his country’s government. Police officers gathered in front of the building, however, prohibited him from placing the gallows before the building, instead advising the youth “to go to their country to protest.”<\/p>\n

Asked by an Epress.am correspondent why the youth were protesting in front of the Armenian government building, the Iranian students said they want the whole world to know of and to condemn human rights violations in Iran, naming in particular, death penalties involving stoning and hanging.<\/p>\n
