According to an agreement between the Republic of Armenia and Georgia’s Ministry of Education and Science, from Nov. 22\u201327, textbooks and equipment were delivered to the educational resource center in the Georgian town of Akhalkalaki, reports the RA Ministry of Education and Science. Note that Akhalkalaki is the administrative center of the Armenian-populated Samtskhe-Javakheti region in Georgia.<\/p>\n

In 2010, for schools that offer Armenian language courses in Georgia, the RA Ministry of Education and Science has provided 7,138 “Mother Tongue” textbooks, along with their workbooks, for students in grades 1\u20136 and 360 sets of school equipment (desks and chairs).<\/p>\n

The Akhalkalaki resource center will distribute the textbooks to schools in the following districts: Akhalkalaki, Akhaltskhe, Aspindza, Marneuli, Borjomi, Tsalka, Tetri-Tskaro, as well as Tbilisi school no. 132. <\/p>\n
