The cables released by WikiLeaks over the past week revealed that Armenia-Turkey rapprochement was a priority issue for Turkey’s government \u2014 however not a true reconciliation, and the Armenia-Turkey Protocols are still in the broader agenda of Armenia’s National Assembly, today said Heritage Party MP Armen Martirosyan to Chair of the RA National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan during the first day of the regular four-day session of Armenia’s National Assembly, reports 7or.am.<\/p>\n

“Isn’t it time that, on the background of the recent revelations, the Armenia-Turkey Protocols be recalled from the National Assembly broad agenda and the Armenian side annul its signature altogether?” asked the Heritage Party deputy.<\/p>\n

“Mr. Martirosyan, you know that is the proposal of the Republic [of Armenia’s] president and the government, to ratify the protocols at the National Assembly; you also know that the RA president has suspended the protocols process which is in the National Assembly. Now does it have a connection with the National Assembly’s powers or not?
