Bicycle+ NGO, along with SOS Teghut, are organizing an event dedicated to the arrival of environmental activist “eco-hero” Serj Tankian, according to the group’s Facebook event page.\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The event, called “BicycleBOOM,” will begin at 8 pm on August 11 and run through till 5 am on August 12.\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“Let’s welcome our deserving Eco Hero Serj Tankian; on numerous occasions, he has stated his position on the environment, healthy living, a life in harmony with nature. Serj simply has to see that there are concerned individuals, environmentalists, cyclists, who support this work and fight for the preservation of the environment and that he is not alone… Become a friend to nature, become a friend to cyclists, become a friend to Serj Tankian,” reads the description on the Facebook event page.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

All are welcome to attend the event, which will involve an all-night bike ride through the streets of Yerevan. Participants are encouraged to get their “green wool beards” ready and to come with colorful, “influential” posters and placards to greet Serj Tankian as he arrives in Yerevan just before his premier concert.<\/p>\n
