The more often one comes in contact with low-quality art, the more his taste drops, believes RA honored artist Lala Mnatsakanyan. In her opinion, broadcasting in Armenia is mainly full of low-quality programming and, in particular, tasteless TV series.\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It’s often said that Armenian TV series are offered due to the public’s demand, but in reality, affirms Mnatsakanyan, it’s neither the public’s demand nor its taste. It’s simply that someone who can finance the series is dictating his taste, while putting the blame on the public.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“However, there’s a serious issue here: an actor today cannot survive by working and creating only for the theatre, so he has no choice but to appear in frequently low-cost series, so that he can live,” says Mnatsakanyan.\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Apart from the fact that low-rate directors and mediocre actors play in TV series, there’s also nothing bright and happy on the screen \u2014 “there’s no lightheartedness,” says the actress.<\/p>\n

It’s interesting that, at today’s invited press conference, the top 3 TV stations with the largest audience weren’t present: H1, Armenia and Shant.\u00a0<\/p>\n
