Armenia’s role in the region continues to decline, said University of Michigan Faculty of History Armenian Studies Program Director and former Adviser to the first RA President Gerard Libaridian, in an interview with Rosbalt.ru.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to Libaridian, in the last 10 years, the Armenian authorities have taken no steps toward strengthening the country’s role and influence in the region and in the international arena.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“Nevertheless, Yerevan can’t think of having a serious role in international relations insofar as it hasn’t yet resolved its issues with Azerbaijan and Turkey,” said the professor.\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Libaridian also stated that these issues also make Armenia vulnerable from the perspective of resolving its domestic issues, which paralyzes foreign policy. As a result, Armenia finds itself in a situation where there’s no choice. \u00a0<\/p>\n
