As soon as the opposition in either Azerbaijan or Armenia starts taking active measures, the ceasefire regime is immediately violated in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, said Azerbaijani writer Seymur Baijan in an exclusive interview with newcaucasus.com.<\/p>\n

“The Nagorno-Karabakh theme is vital for \u2018national unification\u2019 and for outside enemy, and against the opposition. As the people start fighting for their rights, the old record starts being rotated \u2013 we have a common enemy and we need to unite,” said Baijan, when asked by the interviewer what he thinks about the possibilities of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In Baijan’s opinion, “The traditions of the Soviet violence against younger conscripts in the army still persist in the armed forces of both countries. A soldier is slaughtered and an Armenian sniper is the one who is blamed. Or vice versa…”<\/p>\n

The governments of both Armenia and Azerbaijan are similar in that they both loath Georgia, since the “new system in Georgia is a challenge to their own outrageous reign,” said Baijan.\u00a0<\/p>\n
