Too often in the UN there are debates that are cut off, they don’t delve into the core of the issue, and based on political expediency, they vote for the benefit of this or that resolution, said National Assembly deputy, Armenian Revolutionary Federation\u2013Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) Supreme Body representative Armen Rustamyan Tuesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
One of the primary issues, according to Rustamyan, is the Nagorno-Karabakh draft resolution put forth by Azerbaijan to be discussed at the September 9 UN General Assembly meeting in New York.\u00a0<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Rustamyan believes that Armenia must “push all countries [who will be voting on the resolution in the UN], so that they don’t create a second format which is separate from the Minsk Group’s format.”<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
“But Azerbaijan, with a second parallel process, constantly puts us before such facts,” said the MP.\u00a0<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
This, Rustamyan is convinced, means that Armenia should apply the same actions.\u00a0<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
