There will be neither any sensational announcements nor a fundamental shift in Russia’s Nagorno-Karabakh position during Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s upcoming visit to Baku, said Baku-based political analyst Rasim Musabekov in an interview with Aze.az.<\/p>\n

According to the analyst, Moscow will attempt to keep the status quo as long as possible.<\/p>\n

“I suppose that the Russian authorities will seek to persuade Baku to wait, since a strong pressure on the Armenians can lead to Serzh Sargsyan’s government and talks on the peaceful settlement of the conflict to fail. It’s obvious that Azerbaijan won’t accept Russian explanations.
