On September 5, Armenia’s contestant in the 2010 Junior Eurovision Song Contest became known. As a result of a jury decision, along with sms voting, out of 10 entries, Vladimir Arzumanyan’s song “Mama” was chosen as Armenia’s entry in the song contest set to take place in Minsk, Belarus, on November 20 this year.<\/p>\n

Arzumanyan is 12 years old and comes from Nagorno-Karabakh.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Just as in nearly all of the former Armenian Eurovision contests, this time too there were disappointments.<\/p>\n

One of the parents of this year’s finals participants told Epress.am that their sms messages didn’t get through and thus weren’t accounted for in the final voting. There were many such complaints heard in private conversation among fans.<\/p>\n

To clarify the issue, Epress.am spoke with Armenian Public Television’s Advisor to the Executive Director of Special Projects Diana Mnatsakanyan, who said that organizers did notice an issue with the sms messages at one point, at which point they quickly contacted mobile operators, who informed them that, for a few minutes, there was an issue with the confirmation sms messages that voters receive after they cast their vote, however, despite this small glitch, all votes have been accurately accounted for.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
