During the press conference at the RA government building today, Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan assured journalists that except for a textbook in a single subject in the senior grades, schools are completely supplied with the necessary textbooks.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He added that all textbooks are provided free of charge to students in the elementary grades.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Ashotyan said that there are currently 91 high schools in Armenia, and the creation of an additional 40\u201344 high schools is planned.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The minister said that there’s an initiative in the National Assembly’s agenda on amendments to the law on post-graduate education, which stipulates a common admission exam for admission to all universities. Furthermore, the department responsible for licensing post-secondary institutions will conduct audits of educational establishments every 6 months.\u00a0<\/p>\n
