In particular, cases have been recorded in Russia: officially, 231 cases up to and including Sept. 1, 2010; unofficially, 300 and more.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; line-height: 21px; font: normal normal normal 15px\/normal Arial; min-height: 17px\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: 'Arian AMU'\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; line-height: 21px; font: normal normal normal 15px\/normal Arial\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: 'Arian AMU'\">West Nile is transmitted by mosquitoes that have bitten infected birds.
