The recent incidents along the Nagorno-Karabakh\u2013Azerbaijan line of contact, according to Caucasus Institute Director Alexander Iskandaryan, is a result of an increase in the level of blackmail from Azerbaijan.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“The level of blackmail has reached its peak. So that the amount of blackmail increases in some way, such types of incidents are necessary for Azerbaijan,” explained the analyst at a press conference today.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“More so, parliamentary elections are expected in Azerbaijan and if we’re attentive to how the situation along the Nagorno-Karabakh\u2013Azerbaijan border is changing, it can be seen that there’s almost always a violation of ceasefire,” said Iskandaryan.\u00a0<\/p>\n
