On September 12, Armenia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Edward Nalbandian met with Tina Kaidanow, Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs at the US State Department, according to a news release on the foreign ministry’s official website.<\/p>\n
Welcoming the guest, Nalbandian said that Armenia places importance on the strengthening of friendly cooperation and partnership as well as the deepening of meaningful relations with the US.<\/p>\n
Both parties noted that in the recent period, Armenian-American relations have reached a new level, signs of which were the Republic of Armenia\u2019s President Serzh Sargsyan\u2019s visit to Washington, DC, the meeting with US President Barack Obama, as well as US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s Yerevan visit.<\/p>\n
Nalbandian and Kaidanow had a thorough talk about the further enlargement and possibilities of development in Armenian-American relations.<\/p>\n
Kaidanow, in turn, noted that Armenia is an important partner for the United States, which looks forward to continue the cooperation with Armenia in the areas of supporting economic development, implementation of reforms, and fostering of stability in the region.<\/p>\n
Nalbandian and Kaidanow exchanged views about recent developments in the negotiations of the peaceful settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh, and on regional and international issues of mutual interest.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
