If Mikheil Saakashvili “had consulted with me, then his work, the Georgian people and the government would be in a much better situation,” said Georgia’s former president Eduard Shevardnadze commenting on Georgian authorities’ activities in an interview with Georgian paper Asaval-Dasavali.<\/p>\n

The 82-year-old Shevardnadze also said that the Georgian people are dissatisfied with the policy adopted by Saakashvili, reports Georgia Online.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In response to the former president’s remarkes, Saakashvili said that he “doesn’t need advice from Shevardnadze.” The Georgian president, on a few occasions recently, publicly criticized his predecessor’s policies and blamed him for brining Georgia\u00a0 to a “disastrous state.”\u00a0<\/p>\n
