On Sept. 15, during his official visit to Tehran, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.<\/p>\n

The parties noted that between Armenia and Iran lately, high-level bilateral visits have become more frequent, effective economic cooperation has developed, numerous mutually beneficial programs have been ratified, there exists a broad legal framework and there’s more willingness to develop bilateral cooperation.\u00a0<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
According to a press release issued by the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the parties discussed the process of realizing agreements established during the Armenian president’s April 2009 official visit to Tehran.\u00a0<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Ahmadinejad requested that his warm greetings and good wishes be conveyed to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.<\/p>\n

On the same day, Nalbandian met with Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Manouchehr Mottaki.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Mottaki informed his Armenian counterpart on developments related to Iran’s nuclear program and talks with the international community on this matter. Within this context, the Armenian foreign minister that Armenia is attentively following events related to Iran’s nuclear program and hopes that Iran and the international community with their joint efforts can reach a mutually acceptable solution to the issue.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
