The Armenian National Congress (HAK) marked the 19th anniversary of Armenia’s independence near Saryan’s statue in central Yerevan. First president of the Republic of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan had also come to congratulate his supporters.<\/p>\n

“I can’t compare independence with anything. For me, it can’t be bargained with. Whatever type of independence it’ll be, it’s above everything else for me,” said Ter-Petrosyan.<\/p>\n

The HAK leader congratulated both his supporters and non-supporters on occasion of the national holiday. Then he walked around the park in which Saryan’s statue can be found, speaking and congratulating RA citizens.<\/p>\n
