Armenia’s refusal to support Georgia in the discussion of refugees at the UN General Assembly is due to the Yerevan’s dependence on Moscow, said Georgian political analyst Nika Chitadze in an interview with Trend News.<\/p>\n

Armenia is forced to go to all sorts of concessions for Moscow due to the military situation in Azerbaijan and a strong economic dependence on Russia, he said.<\/p>\n

“In addition, Armenia’s annoyed by the fact that Georgia, in the UN General Assembly, during the discussion on frozen conflicts takes Azerbaijan’s side,” said the expert.<\/p>\n

Chitadze believes that this won’t have a negative impact on Armenia-Georgia relations.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Both parties approach bilateral relations pragmatically. Isn’t it so that 70% of Armenia’s foreign trade takes place through Georgian territory? Furthermore, many Armenians live in Georgia.
